“Be the person you needed when you were younger”

Over the years I have developed a love for podcasts. I spend A LOT of time in the car driving and you can only listen to the same 5 songs on the radio over and over. While most of my podcasts are mindless and some even go as far as recapping the trashy TV that I watch others are educational or provide me with at least a little mental stimulation.

While listening to an Ali on the Run Podcast interviewing Chris Musier yesterday he referenced the quote “Be the person you needed when you were younger”. With all that’s going on in the world it’s easy to become a negative person or look down upon people with different opinions/values/etc but this is a great reminder to look at yourself as a role model and someone that can really make a difference in others peoples lives/days/morning.

I’m a huge fan of running quotes to help keep me motivated while training. Below I thought I’d share some of my favorite quotes or mantras to get me out of bed in the morning or to keep my spirits up after a workout that didn’t go as expected.

“You pretended the snooze button didn’t exist. You dragged your butt out of bed while others slept. While others ate their pancakes, you had a feast of protein, glucose and electrolytes.
